LUXURY DINING
DAS IMPERIUM DES MARTIN HO
FOR 15 YEARS NOW, the well-known restaurant owner, art lover and
entrepreneur Martin Ho has been setting unique culinary accents in Austria.
With the DOTS experimental sushi he brought a breath of fresh
air to Vienna's gastronomy. Following international examples, he united
restaurant, bar, art and music under one roof and since then has been
offering a trendy overall concept that was new to Vienna. In its 15th
year of existence, the Asia gourmet temple moves to Mariahilfer Strasse
36 and now also offers a spacious terrace. On around 400 square meters,
guests will get treated with the popular avantgarde maki and sushi creations
as well as progressive fusion cuisine. The sushi and maki specialities
are prepared at the new openly designed sushi bar, which allows guests to
experience the art of cooking from the sushi masters. It merges with the
bar, which invites for an aperitif and a relaxed end of the evening.
If you are in the mood for a holiday but still want to stay in the city,
the DOTS at the Brunnerhof is just right for you! It was like love at
first sight when Martin Ho discovered the Brunnerhof in the Viennese
“Heurigen” district of Döbling in 2009. The charming little house was
considered the oldest “Heurigen” in the city. In only three months he
transformed the Brunnerhof into a second DOTS restaurant, preserving
the historical building structure of the 16th century. Together with the
lighting designers Michael Stor and Alexander Riegler, he implemented
modern accents. On around 1,900 square meters, guests can find a cigar
club for men, a make-up room for ladies and a champagne bar, which
gives the traditional Brunnerhof the right portion of extravagance. The
centerpiece of the restaurant is the spacious inner courtyard with its
predominantly white furniture and Vietnamese lanterns, which create a
romantic holiday atmosphere.
Entertainment and enjoyment at any time of the day: In addition to the
two restaurants DOTS Establishment and DOTS at the Brunnerhof, the
DOTS Group also offers two clubs VIE i PEE and Pratersauna for exuberant
party nights as well as the trendy beach club SAUNA STRAND
KLUB for refreshing summer days and the Vietnamese street-kitchen
restaurants IVY's Pho House and IVY's Pho & Grill for quick appetites.
Another masterpiece of Martin Ho is the "One of One", which features
the two restaurant concepts "MR. WOW" and "TETATE", the "Chin
Chin - The Dry Martini Bar" and the HO GALLERY on three floors.
The latest addition to the multi-concept location is the "Newman" located
directly at Seilerstätte 16. In this daytime bar chef Carlo Neumann
spoils his guests with traditional Viennese delicacies, for which he relies
on the best regional ingredients. Already known for the best Schnitzel in
Vienna, Neumann reveals: "The breadcrumbs are made from delicious
organic bread rolls from the nearby “Öfferl” bakery. Cranberry jam, applesauce
and plum roaster are produced in the in-house manufacture.”
With the "Newman", Ho unites three continents under one roof and
gives guests the opportunity to enjoy the best of Mexican, Asian and
Viennese cuisine.
Hidden gem in the countryside: Those who want to escape from the
hustle and bustle of Vienna and want to slow down will definitely find
their happy place at the boutique hotel "La Petite Ivy". The exquisite
hotel is located at the Trenninghof, built in 1302, in the picturesque
Wachau. Within the old castle walls of the historic Trenninghof, Ho
combines his love of culinary delights, individuality, design and art.
With "La Petite Ivy" he has created a unique home not only for his
guests but also for his numerous art and design objects. Works by Erwin
Wurm, Jonathan Meese, Julian Khol, Franz West, Jeff Koons, Norbert
Brunner and Andy Warhol can be found under the roofs of the 718-year-old
listed Trenninghof. Beautiful Gothic and Renaissance vaults, noble
monastery floors and the striking tower with its wedge-shaped roof
add to the hotel’s distinctive looks. Nestled in the idyllic landscape of
the Wachau region, visitors can expect to find not only a tasteful art
collection but also a pool, an in-house bar, an exclusive spa area with
sauna and infrared cabin and a library. A place that’s ideal to unwind
and fully relax!
Martin Ho draws inspiration for his businesses from his travels and
people, he meets. The art of processing these impressions and transforming
them into unique and sustainable projects can be found in all the
houses of the DOTS Group and are inspiring to gourmets and design
lovers alike.
