THE FORSTHOFALM timber hotel allows individuality and freedom
on the top of Leogang, in a wonderful standalone location
1,105 metres up. Every single day in the year it offers a mix of nature
hotel, wellness, rooftop pool, organic food and a state-of-theart
Mountain Life Programme, with yoga three times a day, fitness
and five guided hikes per week.
Close your eyes and breathe in deeply – the natural aroma of fresh
timber spreads through your nose as soon as you enter the Forsthofalm
Hotel. In the first hotel in the Salzburg province to be built
completely out of wood, with 56 rooms and suites, natural warm
hues harmonise with local natural materials such as spruce, pine,
green slate, linen, jute, loam and leather to create a warm atmosphere.
In the Sky Spa you can swim at any time of year in a heated rooftop
pool with 360 degree vision, and the large roof terrace offers a
variety of fitness courses. Whether aqua fitness, hot iron, piloxing,
blackroll, fasciae training or boxing — there’s something for everyone,
and in a group it‘s such fun. If you prefer to focus entirely on
yourself in the middle of nature, you’ll find a complete experience
for mind and body in our daily yoga sessions, whether Yin Yan or
Budokon.
Guests can have stimulating or relaxing massage with our home-made
meadow herbal oils, or simply relax and surrender to our
very own motto, “be yourself”. The Forsthofalm’s spa pursues the
philosophy of obeying the senses and one’s own sensations. On the
basis of five available “moods“; soul, brain, energy, muscle and love,
the relevant application is adjusted to guests individually.
Apart from the wide range of sports activities, the hotel offers a
Mountain Life Programme which changes every week, involving hi-
kes, cocktail courses, fire and wine evenings by an open fire or meet
and grill evenings. But not just meat lovers will enjoy the hotel’s organic
food concept. Vegetarians and vegans will also find something
for themselves. The team in the KUKKA Restaurant spoils guests
with bio cuisine from a charcoal grill, for we offer mainly the things
that grow outside our front door and in the region. Already in the
afternoon our very own bread oven is burning so that we can serve
fresh bread punctually at dinner. Or you can simply choose our
Outdoor Kitchen, grab a picnic blanket, lay it out in the meadow,
and simply enjoy an afternoon snack (hot and cold). You may find
a cow watching you! For breakfast there is a rich choice of vegan,
vegetarian and classic products for a good start to the day. KUKKA
means “flower” in Scandinavia, and is meant to reflect a wild and, at
the same time, a gentle, attractive, surprising and diversified cuisine.
