Installing via Command<br />

Line Interface<br />

To begin the command line installation:<br />

1. Download the package executable file from the <strong>TT</strong> Customer Portal. To simplify<br />

the install, place the file on the server’s .<br />

2. Open a command window by selecting Run on the Start menu and typing CMD.<br />

3. When the command window appears, use the cd :\ command<br />

to navigate to the location of the executable.<br />

4. Enter the name of the executable file followed by -a and the arguments you<br />

wish to use.<br />

Example: Installation Arguments for the <strong>CME</strong> <strong>Gateway</strong>:<br />

Entering:<br />

cme_r7.15.2.0p27.exe -a --installroot=c:\program files\tt<br />

--exhangename=<strong>CME</strong>-B --countrycode=US --zipcode=60606 --reboot=force<br />

causes the <strong>CME</strong> <strong>Gateway</strong> installation to perform the following:<br />

• The <strong>Gateway</strong> installs into the c:\program files\tt directory<br />

• The exchange-flavor equals <strong>CME</strong>-B<br />

• The country code equals US and the zip code equals 60606<br />

• The server automatically reboots after the install completes<br />

Argument Function<br />

--aconfigxml= Specify the path to an existing aconfig.xml file.<br />

Suppresses the Browse for aconfig.xml dialog<br />

box and uses the provided network aconfig.xml<br />

file.<br />

Using this argument causes the installation to<br />

update the revision count on the existing network<br />

aconfig.xml file.<br />

--countrycode=<br />

--zipcode=<br />

--exchangename =<br />

Warning: Do not use the ovr command when<br />

supplying an existing network aconfig.xml file.<br />

Suppresses the Locale Information dialog and<br />

adds the country code and zip code values to the<br />

location.cfg file.<br />

You must supply both arguments.<br />

Suppresses the Available Exchange Names<br />

dialog and sets the Exchange-Flavor for the <strong>CME</strong><br />

<strong>Gateway</strong>.<br />

--reboot=force Sets the server’s behavior following the<br />

installation. The --reboot command uses the<br />

following values:<br />

• norestart: The installation does not reboot<br />

the server. In addition, the installation<br />

suppresses the Reboot Now dialog.<br />

• force: The installation reboots the server<br />

without displaying the Reboot Now dialog.<br />

• promptrestart: The installation displays the<br />

Reboot Now dialog.<br />

Note: If the --reboot command is not present,<br />

the installation exhibits the default behavior.<br />
