About This <strong>Manual</strong><br />
Overview This <strong>System</strong> <strong>Administration</strong> <strong>Manual</strong> (SAM) describes system architecture and<br />
configuration for the <strong>Trading</strong> Technologies <strong>CME</strong> <strong>Gateway</strong>s. It is supplemental to<br />
the <strong>TT</strong> <strong>Gateway</strong>s Architecture SAM Version 7.X and discusses information specific<br />
only to the <strong>CME</strong> <strong>Gateway</strong>.<br />
Common Terms and<br />
Abbreviations<br />
This manual uses the following terminology convention throughout:<br />
• Exchange: The trading exchange (e.g., <strong>CME</strong>, <strong>CME</strong> Group)<br />
• Exchangename: The name of the <strong>TT</strong> <strong>Gateway</strong> selected during its<br />
installation<br />
• FIX: Financial Information Exchange<br />
Chapter Overviews This manual includes the following chapters:<br />
Chapter Description<br />
Chapter 1 Describes the <strong>CME</strong> <strong>Gateway</strong> system architecture. This discussion focuses<br />
on the different components of the <strong>CME</strong> <strong>Gateway</strong>, how they function in<br />
relation to one another, and the various files used to support these<br />
operations.<br />
Chapter 2 Provides procedures necessary to install or upgrade the <strong>CME</strong> <strong>Gateway</strong>.<br />
Also, describes updates and changes to the <strong>TT</strong> <strong>Gateway</strong> related to the<br />
current release.<br />
Chapter 3 Describes how to configure membership information, configure the<br />
trading environment, and verify connectivity to the exchange after an<br />
install.<br />
Chapter 4 Provides procedures for configuring the price feed connection, market<br />
data dissemination, and support for various products traded on the<br />
exchange. Data flows are included to facilitate the understanding of <strong>CME</strong><br />
<strong>Gateway</strong> operations.<br />
Chapter 5 Provides procedures for configuring the order server, order sessions,<br />
and order routers. Data flows are included to facilitate the<br />
understanding of <strong>CME</strong> <strong>Gateway</strong> operations. Supported order types are<br />
also provided.<br />
Chapter 6 Provides the various disaster recovery and failover options available.<br />
Chapter 7 Provides the various troubleshooting options available.<br />
Appendix A Describes the configuration files and parameters used on the <strong>CME</strong><br />
<strong>Gateway</strong>.<br />
