Current Research<br />

Dr. Erdan Gu is a research team leader at Strathclyde University's Institute of Photonics. He obtained<br />

his PhD degree in 1992 and then worked on thin film magnetism in Cavendish Laboratory, Cambridge<br />

University. He joined the Institute of Photonics in 2002. His research interests focus mainly on<br />

epitaxial growth, in-situ and ex-situ characterizations, micro-fabrication, magnetic, optoelectronic and<br />

photonic devices and micro-systems. He has published more than 150 refereed journal papers and has<br />

managed and coordinated several multi-partner research programmes.<br />
