Current Research<br />

Hadrons, for example the proton, are composed of quarks tightly bound together by the gluons of<br />

Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD). These bound states may be studied using lattice gauge theories, i.e.<br />

by using computational Monte Carlo techniques. My recent research interests have focused on studing<br />

the fundamental parameters of QCD and in particular the coupling constant between the quarks and<br />

gluons and the quark masses. Various hadron matrix elements that describe the internal structure of the<br />

particle have been investigated.<br />
