She is driven by a desire to worktowards the hope in others for a richer life. She believesit is such a privilege to offer much hope for her whānautowards a kinder and fairer city of Ahuriri Napier.Martyka Fleming Brandt: For services to the community.After growing up in a struggling environment,Martyka has used his personal experience in parentingto provide grass roots advice to whānau. He organiseda successful mother parenting programme and now voluntarilya makes himself available daily to all membersof the Maraenui community where his quiet advice andsupport is popular.Sallie Dunford: is an environmental artist and motivatorfor peace with a focus on our environmental. Shegains motivation from others because Papatuanuku isher life force, and she uses this to reflects the rich, fertilesoil upon which the community was founded. She hasrecently completed a mural on the Maraenui Koha Shedand believe that this speaks for her mahi.Levi Harley Armstrong: Has become a familiar figurein and around Maraenui where he is providing daily trainingopportunities. As part of a Master’s degree in Healthhe runs free classes daily from Monday to Friday and aSaturday morning class as well in health and fitness. Theclasses are very popular and are proving locals the opportunityto improve their health and wellbeing.Peter Eden: For services to his marae (Moteo) and tothe wider community of Napier. Peter has played animportant role in the revitalisation of Te Taiwhenua o TeWhanganui ā Orotū. During both the November floodsand during the Covid-19 Crisis he was central to the effortsto ensure whānau were supported physically, emotionally,and spiritually.Peter Findlay: For services to the community. Foryears Pete has very quietly volunteered, particularly inand around Maraenui on community projects that aredesigned to make Napier kinder and fairer. Immediatelyfollowing the November deluge, Pete mobilised severallike mined people to support the clean up and the deliveryof care packages to affective communities.Rose Hiha: For services to her marae (Petane) and thewider community of Napier. Rose has played a strongsupportive role in revitalising Te Taiwhenua o Te Whanganuiā Orotū. During both the November floods andduring the Covid-19 Crisis Rose was central to the effortsto ensure whānau were supported physically, emotionally,and spiritually.Janice Keepa-Kahukiwa: For services to her marae(Te Haroto) and the wider community of Napier. Janicehas played a strong role in revitalising Te Taiwhenua o TeWhanganui ā Orotū. During both the November floodsand during the Covid-19 Crisis Janice was central to theefforts to ensure whānau were supported physically,emotionally, and spiritually.Hōri Reti: For his tireless services to his marae (Tangoio)and the wider community of Napier. Hōri coordinatedTe Taiwhenua o Te Whanganui ā Orotū responseto both the November floods and during the Covid-19Crisis. His leadership of Te Taiwhenua o Te Whanganuiā Orotū was instrumental in ensuring they were able torespond so quickly and effectively in times of crisis.Marewa Kuini Reti: For services to her marae (Tangoioand Petane) and the wider community of Napier.Marewa has played a key role in the revitalisation of TeTaiwhenua o Te Whanganui ā Orotū. During both theNovember floods and during the Covid-19 Crisis Marewawas central to the efforts to ensure whānau were supportedphysically, emotionally, and spiritually.Satyam Saha: For services to the International Studentcommunity. During the 2020 Covid-19 LockdownSatyam played a vital link between the Institute and individualInternational Students who were isolated andlonely.
