The houses Minnie fought forBefore Minnie Ratima passed away in August2020, she’d been lobbying hard — right to thetop — for affordable housing to go up in Maraenui,and fast. PM Jacinda Ardern promised herthat this would happen and just prior to thisbook going to print her daughter Soraya Longtimedrove around the Nui, and did a ‘new’house count. “It’s awesome how much buildinghas gone on in eight months.
