5 Authentication and access management Quota management Module settings for quota management Values for time and volume quotas and for session times are configured on the appliance as settings of the quota modules. The quota rules call these modules to retrieve information about these values. This section describes the settings for the various modules that are involved in quota management. Module settings apply only to the module they are configured for. However, settings names can be the same for different modules. For example, in the library rule sets for quota management, there are settings named URL Configuration for the Time Quota module, the Volume Quota module, and all other modules dealing with quota management. Time Quota engine settings You can configure the Time Quota engine settings. These are the settings of the module that handles time quotas to restrict the web usage of your users. Note: You can configure these settings on the Settings tab of the Policy top-level menu. You can also click the settings name in a quota rule on the Rule Sets tab to configure these settings. URL Category Configuration Settings for time quotas related to URL categories Time Quota per Day, Week, Month, and Session Time Settings for selecting the time unit or the session time that quotas are configured for in the next section. Note: When a time unit or the session time is selected, the heading of the next section reads accordingly. Time quota per day (week, month) — When selected, the quota that is configured in the next section applies to the selected time unit Session time — When selected, the quota that is configured in the next section applies to the session time Hours and Minutes for . . . Settings for configuring time quotas that apply to the selected time unit or the session time Note: The heading of this section varies according to what you selected in the preceding section. Hours — Allowed hours per day, week, month, or for the session time Minutes — Allowed minutes per day, week, month, or for the session time Actual Configured Time Quota Displays the configured time quotas Time quota per day (week, month) — Allowed time per day, week, or month Session time — Allowed session time IP Configuration Settings for time quotas related to IP addresses These settings are configured in the same way as for time quotas related to URL categories. Authenticated User Configuration Settings for time quotas related to user names These settings are configured in the same way as for time quotas related to URL categories.
