7 System configuration Contents Configuring the appliance system System settings System files Database updates Central management Configuring the appliance system The McAfee Web Gateway appliance is a system providing functions for authenticating users and filtering web objects. You can configure settings for these functions and also for the system itself, including settings for network interfaces, the user interface, central management, and other items. You can configure system settings on the user interface or on a command line interface (CLI). The sections of this chapter describe these settings. Initial setup system settings Some system settings are configured during the initial setup. You can later modify these settings, as well as configure other system settings.
