A cold-cured polymer is used to attach <strong>the</strong> matrix housings similar to a<br />

direct relining. The matrices must be completely wrapped <strong>with</strong> acrylic. After<br />

curing, <strong>the</strong> pros<strong>the</strong>sis is lifted <strong>with</strong> <strong>the</strong> polymerized matrices, trimmed and<br />

<strong>the</strong> inner configuration of <strong>the</strong> matrices cleaned.<br />

The clinician <strong>the</strong>n activates <strong>the</strong> lamella retention inserts <strong>with</strong> <strong>the</strong> screwdriver/activator<br />

for ball abutment matrix (see "Setting <strong>the</strong> retention force"<br />

on page 42), <strong>the</strong> occlusion checked and <strong>the</strong> finished pros<strong>the</strong>sis inserted in<br />

its final position.<br />
