CAUTION<br />

Undercuts between <strong>the</strong> titanium housings and <strong>the</strong> surrounding tissue<br />

not covered by <strong>the</strong> block out spacers must be blocked out. Acrylic must<br />

not get into <strong>the</strong> titanium housings during adaptation!<br />

The titanium housings are <strong>the</strong>n polymerized into <strong>the</strong> existing full denture<br />

and <strong>the</strong> denture also relined if necessary.<br />

After trimming and polishing <strong>the</strong> denture, <strong>the</strong> black processing replacement<br />

males are removed and replaced by corresponding replacement male as<br />

described in "Integration of <strong>the</strong> colored replacement males" on page 58.<br />

The finished pros<strong>the</strong>sis is inserted and <strong>the</strong> occlusion checked.<br />

CONVERTING AN EXISTING FULL DENTURE<br />

INTO A LOCATOR ® -RETAINED FULL DENTURE<br />

IN THE DENTAL PRACTICE<br />

Locator ® components can also be integrated in an existing full denture in<br />

<strong>the</strong> dental practice. After final insertion of <strong>the</strong> <strong>CAMLOG</strong> ® Locator ® abutments<br />

in <strong>the</strong> <strong>CAMLOG</strong> ® implants (see page 55), <strong>the</strong> white block out spacers<br />

included in <strong>the</strong> Locator ® male processing packages are pulled over <strong>the</strong><br />

functional areas of <strong>the</strong> <strong>CAMLOG</strong> ® Locator ® abutments to prevent acrylic<br />

from getting into <strong>the</strong> titanium housings.<br />

CAUTION<br />

Undercuts between <strong>the</strong> titanium housings and <strong>the</strong> surrounding tissue<br />

not covered by <strong>the</strong> block out spacers must be blocked out. Acrylic must<br />

not get into <strong>the</strong> titanium housing during adaptation!<br />

WARNING!<br />

During intraoral use, products must be secured in general against aspiration<br />

and swallowing.<br />

The titanium housings <strong>with</strong> <strong>the</strong> black processing replacement males are positioned<br />

on each <strong>CAMLOG</strong> ® Locator ® abutment over <strong>the</strong> previously placed<br />

block out spacers until <strong>the</strong> pressure point is reached.<br />

The titanium housings are attached by <strong>the</strong> black processing replacement<br />

males and <strong>the</strong> resilience of <strong>the</strong> denture determined.<br />

The existing full denture is carefully prepared and perforated in <strong>the</strong> areas of<br />

<strong>the</strong> titanium housings. The denture must not come into contact during<br />

try-in. Contact <strong>with</strong> <strong>the</strong> housings can affect <strong>the</strong> exact positioning of <strong>the</strong><br />

denture in <strong>the</strong> mouth. Acrylic can pass through <strong>the</strong> perforations occlusally.
