Multi Touch Operation
If supported by the mobile device, then the train view can respond to multi touch gestures.
To increase the speed of the currently operated train, tap with two fingers somewhere
on the train view, move the fingers away from each other and release both fingers.
Depending on the performed movement the train is more or less accelerated now.
To decrease the speed of the train tap with two more or less splayed fingers somewhere
on the train view, move the fingers towards each other and release both fingers. Depending
on the performed movement the train is more or less decelerated now.
If the throttle is in the zero position and the screen is touched once more with two fingers
and the fingers are move towards each other again, then the brake is applied, when
the fingers are released. With two purposeful movements of the fingers towards each
other it is therefore possible, to set the throttle to the zero position and additionally to
apply the brake.
If the movement is very wide-ranging, then it is possible to accelerate the train to full
speed or to stop it, respectively, with one single movement. Very small movements increase
or decrease the speed by one step.
This feature allows for precise and sensitive train control without the need to look at the
screen in a manner known from control with hardware based operating instruments
such as rotary knobs or sliders.
