Floor Area: The areas of the floors served by the elevator.<br />

Floor Cycle Time: The time taken by an elevator to travel between two<br />

adjacent floors including door opening and closing times.<br />

Guide Rail Fixing Positions: Fixing positions of the guide rails to the<br />

structure below.<br />

Guide Rail Support Centres: The centres of the guides.<br />

Guide Rail Support Loads: The load imposed by the movement of<br />

cables within the guides that must be resisted by the structure.<br />

Hoistway Depth: The horizontal distance between the inner surfaces of<br />

the hoistway walls measured parallel to the car depth.<br />

Hoistway Finishes: The finish applied to the hoistway walls.<br />

Hoistway Height: The vertical distance from the lower bounding surface<br />

of the hoistway to the upper bounding surface.<br />

Hoistway Width: The horizontal distance between the inner surfaces of<br />

the hoistway walls measured parallel to the car width. Width may be<br />

Landing Clearance: The horizontal distance between the elevator car<br />

and the landing sill.<br />

Landing Fixtures: Fixtures typically placed on an elevator landing such<br />

as push buttons, position and direction indicators, and hall lanterns.<br />

Lifting Beam Load: The load that must be borne by the lifting beam.<br />

Lifting Beam Position: The position of the lifting beam.<br />

Lifting Beam Size: The size of the lifting beam.<br />

Machine Room Depth: The horizontal dimension of the machine room<br />

measured parallel to the car depth.<br />

Machine Room Headroom: The vertical distance between the lower<br />

bounding surface of the machine room and the underside of the lifting<br />

beam.<br />

Machine Room Height: The vertical distance between the finished<br />

machine room floor above the well and the machine room ceiling<br />

including any lifting beam height.<br />

Machine Room Position: The location of the machine room.<br />

Machine Room Width: The horizontal dimension of the machine room<br />

measured parallel to the car width.<br />
