4 From the Options menu, choose Functions.<br />

5 In the Functions dialog box, click the New button.<br />

6 In the New Function dialog box, type fbrain in the Function name edit field, select<br />

the Interpolation option button, and select File from the Use data from drop-down<br />

menu.<br />

7 Click the Browse button and browse to the file named<br />

sar_in_human_head_interp.txt in the models/<strong>RF</strong>_Module/<br />

<strong>RF</strong>_and_Microwave_Engineering folder in the COMSOL installation directory.<br />

Select the file and click Open to use it. Click OK to create the interpolation function.<br />

8 From the Extrapolation method list, select Constant.<br />

9 Click OK.<br />

GEOMETRY MODELING<br />

The head geometry has been created outside COMSOL Multiphysics, so you import<br />

it from an mphbin file (COMSOL’s native geometry format). Then create the<br />

surrounding domains of PMLs, air, and antenna manually.<br />

1 From the File menu, choose Import>CAD Data From File.<br />

2 In the Import CAD Data From File dialog box, make sure that COMSOL Multiphysics file<br />

or All 3D CAD files is selected in the Files of type list.<br />
