PHYSICS SETTINGS<br />

Subdomain Settings<br />

1 Go to the Physics menu and choose Subdomain Settings.<br />

2 In the Subdomain Settings dialog box, select Subdomain 2 and type 10.8 in the<br />

Relative permittivity edit field. Leave the other subdomain at its default value, which<br />

represents air.<br />

3 Click OK.<br />

Boundary Conditions<br />

1 From the Physics menu, choose Boundary Settings.<br />

2 In the Boundary Settings dialog box, select the Select by group check box and click<br />

on Boundary 1; this selects all outer boundaries.<br />

3 From the Boundary condition list, choose the Scattering boundary condition.<br />

4 Clear the Select by group check box and select the Interior boundaries check box.<br />

5 Select Boundary 10 and choose the Lumped port boundary condition from the<br />

Boundary condition list.<br />

6 Select the Voltage generator at this port check box to make this port act as input for<br />

the signal.<br />

7 Select Boundary 16 and set the boundary condition to Lumped port.<br />

8 Change the port number by typing 2 in the Port number edit field.<br />

9 Go to the Groups page in the left part of the dialog box.<br />

10 Select the groups NET1 and NET2. These groups are automatically generated by the<br />

ECAD Import and represent the two electrical nets present in the file. Set the<br />
