Extracting the Microstrip Impedance<br />

1 From the Postprocessing menu, choose Data Display>Global.<br />

2 In the dialog box that appears, choose Port impedance, port 1 from the Predefined<br />

quantities list.<br />

3 Click OK. The result shows up in the message log and is close to 36.44 Ω.<br />

Solving with Lumped Port Termination<br />

PHYSICS SETTINGS—ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES<br />

1 From the Physics menu, open the Boundary Settings dialog box.<br />

2 Click the Conditions tab, select Boundaries 23, 24, and 26, and choose Perfect<br />

magnetic conductor from the Boundary condition list.<br />

3 Select Boundary 25, and choose the Lumped port boundary condition.<br />

4 Enter 2 in the Port number edit field.
