Figure 9 is a non-adjustable axle housing which is the style I personally prefer. It's clean and simple, lightweight, trouble free<br />
and very easy to build. This particular one is on a Sporty if you haven't noticed.<br />
These snapshots only show a very few of the design possibilities for adjusters, plates and housings and are included here only<br />
to give you some food for thought.<br />
Figure 10 shows a drawing for a 'round' three dimensional type of adjuster housing that we've used on several bikes. It gives a<br />
'fixed' axle look but still provides adjustment. The axle nuts can be hidden with a cover if so desired. This particular piece is<br />
to be machined from solid stock but it can just as easily be made from tubing with a 3/8" plate welded into the inner side. The<br />
overall diameter and length of the slot is up to the builder.<br />
