Chapter 5: Importing Deployment Artifacts into a Domain Viewing Messages You can choose View > Messages to review the sequence of steps taken by the import tool. The entries are date stamped and have colored alert flags, as shown: Indicator flags call out the alert levels of the line item, as described: ● Yellow flags indicate warnings. ● Red flags indicate errors, and when appropriate, provide a trace tab in the Message Details dialog box that opens when you double click on a message line. ● Green markers set off the start and end points of actions. Messages that do not have indicator flags are informational only. Saving Import Messages to File as an Import Log When you view import messages, you can save the messages as a log of the import procedures that have been recorded in the current session of the Deployment Import Tool. 114 Progress Sonic ESB Deployment Guide 8.5
◆ To save the import messages: Using The Deployment Archive Import Tool 1. In the Messages window, click the Save Messages to File button: 2. Enter a location and name for the text file in the Save Messages dialog box. 3. Click Save. Remove Import Messages You can delete a message or range of import messages in the Messages window. ◆ To remove import messages: 1. In the Messages window, click the message or range of import messages you want to remove. 2. Click the Remove Message button: The selected import message is removed. Displaying an Import Message’s Details In a Dialog Box You can view an import message in a dialog box. ◆ To display an import message’s details: 1. In the Messages window, click a message that you want to see in a dialog box. 2. Click the Message Details button: 3. After you review the message details, click Close to close the dialog box.
