Using the Export FS Command
Exporting ESB Artifacts With the ESB Admin Tool
The export fs command syntax creates a file system hierarchy for the exported files at
the designated root on the local system:
ESBAdmin> export fs targetFileStore [sourceFileStore | export_prop.xml | all]
where:
■ targetFileStore is the path and name of the Directory Service store on the local
system; for example, c:\mySourceControlStaging\
■ Use one of the following arguments:
❑ sourceFileStore — When an existing file system store is specified, the
export performs according to the export properties file located in that file
store, putting the results in the target file system store. If source and target are
the same file system store, the store is rebuilt.
❑ export-prop.xml — If the argument is an .xml file with well-formed and
valid export properties, the export performs according to that export
properties file, putting the results in the target archive file. This is an
advanced concept; typically, source.xar or all are used.
❑ all — All elements in the Directory Service are packaged in the archive file
(the default value).
Closing the Domain Connection and Stopping the ESB Admin Tool
After you complete your export tasks with the ESB Admin Tool, close the administrative
connection to the source domain, by entering:
ESBAdmin> disconnect
To stop the ESB Admin Tool, enter:
ESBAdmin> exit (or bye)
