Chapter 8: Distributed Deployment at Runtime Overview The procedures previously described in this guide described single services to import into a domain and single service installations. The following illustrations also depict this. This illustration pattern is expanded later in this chapter. Consider a set of configuration elements exported from the development environment (Sonic Workbench) for deployment. In these illustrations, the functionality of the services and processes are represented by diamond shapes. For a distributed services infrastructure, a deployment domain manager is installed to provide the runtime Directory Service. The deployment package is imported into the new domain’s Directory Service, as shown: my.xar Import ESB Artifacts Directory Service Management Node Enterprise Service Bus On a host system named aHost, install a Container Launcher with a management container named aHost-1 connected to the deployment Directory Service that will manage it. The container can be created to have a Windows Service, and can be started at the time it is created Create an ESB Container, and then create an instance of the service to deploy with appropriate parameters for the instance.
