Multiple Instances of a Service or Process in a Domain<br />

After you establish a service or process in the production environment, you can <strong>deploy</strong><br />

multiple instances of the service. This scales your service oriented architecture, as shown:<br />

In this illustration, the service that was imported into the domain is duplicated by<br />

installing similar <strong>deploy</strong>ment software on a different host, and—when the components<br />

register in the Directory Service—adding an instance of the service to the new container.<br />

Both instances of the service provide identical operation. As you <strong>deploy</strong> more instances<br />

of the service, and the service is modified, one update to the domain perpetuates the<br />

change to every service instance automatically.<br />
