Chapter 8: Distributed Deployment at Runtime
● The Tracing tab lets you select tracing options, which are immediately implemented
in the ESB Container’s logs. The management container also has tracing options:
Tracing options should be used with discretion to debug or monitor specific
situations. The volume of data that could flow into the logs when extensive, verbose
tracing is active can increase the container logs dramatically. You can set the tracing
options on a management container and on an ESB Container to persist through
restarts.
For more information about management container and ESB Container tracing, see
the “Logging and Tracing” section of the “ESB Containers” chapter in the Progress
Sonic ESB Configuration and Management Guide.
Monitoring and Metrics
Use monitoring and metrics to send notifications and alerts to the domain manager (rather
than to the log) to observe the management container and the ESB Container.
