NOTE.—Liagora farinosa was placed in its own genus, Ganonema, by Fan and Wang (1974) on <strong>the</strong> basis <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> carpogonial branch in that species, which was said to be borne on a special short filament ra<strong>the</strong>r than directly on an ordinary vegetative filament. Abbott (1984), pointing out <strong>the</strong> inconstancy <strong>of</strong> this character, returned <strong>the</strong> species to Liagora.
