Tre consigli: dove fare il bagno, dove
andare a mangiare e un indirizzo per la
notte caprese.
Il bagno alla Grotta Azzurra. Per mangiare
quattro nomi: Aurora, Paolino, Le Grottelle
e L’Olivo del Capri Palace. E la notte sicu-
ramente in taverna all’Anema e Core.
Che libro ha sul comodino?
“A most wanted man” di John le Carrè.
L’ultimo pensiero prima di addormentar-
si la sera?
Ringrazio per tutto quello che mi succede
di bello durante il giorno.
E il primo la mattina appena sveglio?
Penso di essere fortunato di potermi sve-
gliare in luoghi bellissimi.
Il prossimo obiettivo da raggiungere?
Riuscire a far identificare il lino con il
marchio 100% Capri così come quando si
pensa all’auto rossa per eccellenza si pen-
sa alla Ferrari.

Antonino Aiello
What is fashion for you?
It’s my passion, my hobby, my work. It’s my life.
And elegance?
Knowing how to wear clothes well.
Who do you think is the greatest stylist of all
times?
There are two: Yves Saint Laurent and Karl
Lagerfield. I think their interpretations had an
edge over all the others.
Is there a Capri style?
Of course there is, and that is exactly what
has inspired us. We’ve interpreted that style
according to our own vision and brought it onto
the international market.
What’s your favourite colour?
White. Definitely, white.
Is there anyone who has been essential to you
in your life?
My wife. She puts up with everything. She
manages to absorb negative energy and
transform it into something positive.
What would you change about Capri?
I’d change the Capri that I see from nine in the
morning to four in the afternoon. There’s an
island in those hours that I don’t love, that I wish
were different.
And what do you love best about this island?
The architecture, first of all. Then the memory of
so many famous people who spent time here,
whose stories mingle with the history of the
island and who made it an international place.
What do you like to do in your free time?
On Capri I hardly have any free time, but when
I’m in the Caribbean, I love to take long walks on
the beach and stop to watch the sunset.
What are your favourite places on Capri?
The Natural Arch in Capri and the Blue Grotto in
Anacapri.
Can you give three recommendations: where to
swim, where to eat, and where to experience a
real Capri night?
For swimming, there’s the Blue Grotto. I can think
of four places to eat: Aurora, Paolino, Le Grottelle
and L’Olivo in Capri Palace. For nightlife, surely
the best is at Taverna Anema e Core.
What book do you have by your bed?
“A Most Wanted Man” by John le Carrè.
What’s your last thought before going to sleep
at night?
Gratitude for all the beautiful things that
happened during the day.
And the first thought in the morning?
I think how fortunate I am to be able to wake up
in beautiful places.
What’s your next goal?
To succeed in associating linen with the 100%
Capri brand, just as when people think of the
ultimate red car, they think of Ferrari.
