Tra le varie canzoni dedicate a Bobby Fischer merita di essere ricordata<br />
“The Way We Were” (1973) di Barbra Streisand. Barbra e Robert<br />
frequentarono la stessa scuola, insieme al cantautore Neil Diamond, la<br />
Erasmus Hall High School di Flatbush Avenue, Brooklyn. La Streisand ha<br />
ricordato che Fischer lo attraeva molto (“Bobby was always alone and<br />
very peculiar. But I found him very sexy”).<br />
Con The Way We were, colonna sonora del film omonimo, Barbra<br />
Streisand ottenne l’Oscar per la miglior canzone.<br />
