A
do capô.
ruas e estradas quanto fora delas.
Se for
P
orsche is investing in a model that mixes the comfort
of a SUV with the footprint of a sports car. The Macan,
launched in July, wants to snap up a fragment
of a differentiated market, those who want the splendor of a
bigger car and with plenty of power under the hood. Revista
VOi was invited to test the crossover and we can tell you
that the car really impresses.
We test drove the Macan model S, which is not quite the
top of the line, but it still comes very complete. The price
is for few, R$ 399 thousand. For the Turbo model, another
R$ 100 thousand must be spent. Right from the start, you
can see that the German manufacturer wished to kept the
robust design but with a modern air, very characteristic of
the brand. The front looks like the Cayenne. Inclusively,
the new model will please a good portion of current and
potential owners of its older ‘cousin’.
As this is a blend of a SUV and a sports car, the manufacturer
was careful to maintain performance both on streets
and roads and when off of them. It has options for all tastes.
To give that extra push and keep the car sporty, simply press
the “sport” button. But don’t think that it’s just that, further
increased performance comes by shifting to the ‘super sport’
option. There, the car now has plenty of power and stability,
and even in neutral, it is possible to hear that the engine
has a different behavior. In this configuration, the car can
reach its 254 km/h maximum speed, without much effort.
But obviously, we weren’t able to try it out during our road
test. And, if you want to travel over a dirt road just select
the off-road option and face the dust without many bumps.
The six-speed automatic transmission was very well
scaled to take advantage of the power of the 3.0 liter engine
