HOTELS GO UP TO THE CLOUD
Talya Bilişim Managing Partner Nilüfer Durukal, explaining that Elektraweb Hotel
Program, which has been used by 2,000 hotels in Turkiye, was a great solution partner
for hotels, said, "Hotels save both time and budget with this program."
Cloud technology, which offers faster
access to innovations, more flexible
resources and a more scalable way of
working, has now started to take its place
among today's indispensable investments.
In the transition to cloud technologies, which
are also rapidly gaining ground in tourism,
hotels and agencies have almost stepped
up. Elektraweb Hotel Program, developed
by Talya Bilişim, one of the leading software
companies in Turkey, entirely for the tourism
sector with Turkish engineers and used in 4
continents and 23 countries, with its webbased
cloud structure, servers that need to
be renewed every few years, server licenses,
virus programs, and backup, eliminates such
costs. So, hotels can easily use the program
with a smart phone, tablet or computer with
an internet connection. Thus, businesses
save both time and money.
2 thousand hotels switched
Nilüfer Durukal, Managing Partner of Talya
Bilişim, shared the latest developments
regarding the transition to cloud technologies
in the tourism sector. Explaining that the
digitalization progress was accelerated in
the sector with the pandemic, Durukal noted
that 2,000 hotels in Turkey started to use
the Elektraweb Hotel Program. Noting that
the technologies developed by Talya Bilişim
are structures that fully meet the "fast, safe,
error-free, efficient and economical solution"
expectations of hotels and agencies, Durukal
added that the Elektraweb Hotel Program
they have implemented in this context is a
great solution partner for hotels. Durukal
said, “Electraweb Hotel Program, which
enables the end-to-end digital management
of accommodation facilities, eliminates the
costs such as servers, server licenses, virus
programs, backup, which need to be renewed
every few years, with its web-based cloud
structure.”
Data is protected by the cloud
Explaining that Elektraweb Hotel Program
can be used easily with a smart phone,
tablet or computer with internet connection,
Durukal said, “This feature brings mobility
with it. Another advantage is that it keeps
the data in a secure area. Because cloud
systems are both seriously protected
and ensure data security by keeping
simultaneous copies of data in different
locations around the world. Moreover,
the information processed and stored in
Elektraweb is recorded in accordance with
the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK)
and the European Union Data Protection
Regulation (GDPR). All of these features pave
the way for businesses to save both time and
budget.”
The whole system works integrated
Noting that Elektraweb Hotel Software
is the only hotel management system
that includes online reservation engine,
channel management, Google and virtual
pos integration features to the front
desk, Nilüfer Durukal noted that it is also
the most comprehensive one. “You can
manage all your administrative, financial
and operational processes through a
single program. In this way, instead
of 15 different companies, you will be
dealing with one company and the whole
system works seamlessly in an integrated
manner," Durukal said and continued:
“Elektraweb Hotel Software is a system
that maximizes the sales potential of
hotels and 'suggests' smart strategies by
reporting all kinds of data. In addition to
these, we offer our users free of charge
the 'Price Management' module, which
enables the determination of the most
suitable price by analyzing the prices of
hotel competitors in all sales channels,
and the 'Dynamic Price Management'
modules, which increase the price as the
occupancy increases.”
Used in 23 countries on 4 continents
Noting that the Elektraweb Hotel Program is
used in 23 countries on 4 continents, Durukal
said, "We are very proud as a company, that a
100% domestic product, produced entirely by
Turkish engineers, has become widespread
globally in such a short time." Explaining
that Elektraweb is used in nearly 60 hotels in
Azerbaijan, Durukal said, “It makes us even
happier to have users in important tourism
destinations such as Spain and Italy. We aim
to grow through a distributor in each country.
Our primary target is the African market and
the Balkan countries.”
Front desk service will be removed
Durukal, who also gave information about
the innovations expected in tourism
technologies in the coming years, said, “It
is not difficult to foresee that the concept of
artificial intelligence will take place much
more in the tourism and hotel industry in
the global sense. We already use it in price
management processes. In the coming
years, artificial intelligence applications will
be indispensable in providing personalized
products/services, customer relations and
services, demand forecasting, analysis of
customer data, developing recommendations
according to customer preferences,
understanding and interpreting consumer
behavior. Stating that the front desks of
the hotels will begin to lose their physical
functions in the medium term, Durukal
said, “We can already do all the reception
transactions online. With robots that can
learn, it does not seem like a long time ago
that we will be greeted in Turkish in a country
where you do not speak the language and
that we will be able to get answers to our
possible questions in your own language.
Again, in the very near future, the 'Internet of
Things' will become a much more effective
concept in our daily lives. The devices in
the facility will be able to predict their
possible failures and order spare parts or
replacements themselves.”
