FLIGHT OF 2022 WAS FROM ISTANBUL
TO NEW YORK
According to the travel scorecard of 2022, the most expensive one-way flight ticket was sold
for the Istanbul - Canberra journey for 104 thousand 797 TL, while the most expensive roundtrip
flight was between Istanbul and New York for 87 thousand 449 TL.

com has announced the travel
scorecard of the year based
on the information recorded
by its visitors from the flight
ticket sales. According to the
data shared by the platform,
the most expensive oneway
ticket was sold for the
Istanbul - Canberra flight for
104 thousand 797 TL. The most
expensive one-way ticket for
domestic trips was sold on
the Istanbul - Dalaman flight
for 3 thousand 680 TL. The
most expensive of the roundtrip
tickets was used on the
international flight Istanbul
- New York with 87 thousand
449 TL, and with 6 thousand
490 TL on the Antalya - Istanbul flight
on domestic flights. The most expensive
journeys with flight costs were carried
out in August and September.
When looking at the map of the cheapest
flight tickets in 2022, it was seen that
the route shifted to the east and Turna.
com users bought their cheapest tickets
in January. While the lowest budget
one-way travel on international lines was
made for 406 TL on the Tehran - Istanbul
route throughout the year, the cheapest
one-way flight ticket of the year was sold
on the Diyarbakir - Trabzon flight for 106
TL on domestic lines. While passengers
in Ankara flew to Kiev with the lowestpriced
ticket of 962 TL on the way back,
the cheapest domestic flight ticket was
sold for 212 TL for flights from Trabzon
to Van.
Most trips were made in April in the
country and in October abroad
According to the information obtained
from Turna.com, users traveled mostly
in April and abroad in October. While
Izmir and Istanbul were among the most
preferred destinations for domestic
flights in 2022, Istanbul - Antalya
and Adana - Istanbul were the most
preferred routes. Flights from Istanbul
to Tehran, Baku and Tashkent entered
the best of the year in international
lines. As in previous years, Turkish
Airlines was the most preferred airline
for international flights and Pegasus for
domestic flights.
Favorites abroad: Baku, Vienna,
Düsseldorf, Tehran, Amsterdam
Breakdowns in travel statistics were
recorded in the form of
changes in routes for users of
different status and categories
of the platform. Students,
couples and families with
children who are members
of Turna.com mostly visited
Istanbul, Izmir, Antalya in the
country and Baku, Vienna,
Dusseldorf, Tehran and
Amsterdam abroad. While
a similar table is seen in
domestic travels of users
over the age of 65, Mineralnye
Vody in Russia, Cologne and
Frankfurt in Germany were
the most preferred regions for
international flights.
