"WE MUST START FROM INDUSTRY TO
IMPROVE OUR WORLD"
Çukurova Isı Marketing Manager Osman Ünlü, in his statement on the occasion of the 9-15
January Energy Efficiency Week, drew attention to that old and inefficient heating systems
used in the industry play an important role in the environmental problems experienced
throughout the world, said "We must start from the industry to improve our world.”
Environmental problems occured
around the world in recent years have
brought up the issue of efficient use of
energy resources and thus reducing
CO2 emissions. Old and inefficient
heating systems used in industry
also play an important role in the
experienced environmental problems.
It is because 30 percent of the energy
consumed in the world is consumed in
industry and 60 percent of the energy
consumed in the industry is used by
inefficient heating and cooling systems.
"The right heating system saves up
to 65 percent"
Çukurova Isı Marketing Manager
Osman Ünlü stating that 70 percent
of the greenhouse gas emissions in
Turkey originate from energy, said "The
highest greenhouse gas emissions are
made by the industry with a share of
34.7%. For thatreason, we must start
improving our world from industry. Air
conditioning systems, having a share
of 60 percent in energy expenditures
in the industry, are one of the leading
measures to be taken in this context.
It is possible to save up to 65 percent
of energy by using the right heating
system in industrial facilities. Thus, it
becomes possible to reduce the effects
of CO2 emissions, which may occur due
to excessive energy consumption, on
the climate crisis, which has become a
global problem. Replacing the old and
inefficient heating systems used in the
industry with radiant heating systems
that provide high efficiency and less
energy consumption also contributes
to the sustainable reduction of CO2
emissions.
"It supports Turkey to transfer to a
low-carbon economy"
Ünlü, noting that 30 to 65 percent
savings can be achieved in the heating
of industrial facilities with radiant
heating technologies, compared to
central hot air blowing systems, said
that the efficient working principle
of radiant heating systems and
emphasized that the industry reduces
the energy use from heating and
supports Turkey's transition to a lowcarbon
economy and its fight against
the climate crisis, and continued as
follows:
"Correct projecting requires high
engineering skills"
"The radiant heater does not aim to
heat the air as in classical systems,
it heats the areas determined in the
space. Therefore, in radiant heating
systems, there is no heat loss due
to transfer elements as in classical
heating systems. However, in industrial
facilities, in order to provide high
energy efficiency with radiant heating
systems, the right project, that is, the
selection of the system with the right
capacities, and the right project and
implementation according to the layout
of the factory are required. Correct
projecting requires high engineering
skills and expertise."
"The key to a sustainable world is
savings"
As Çukurova Isı, we have signed more
than 20 thousand references in 32 years.
With the projects we have prepared with
our experience and engineering skills,
we have enabled our customers to save
money both in the first investment and in
the operation. Because we know that the
key to a sustainable world is savings."
