Primary School Maths Olympiad
In October the Primary School participated in an internal Maths
Olympiad. The 1 st place winners of each class received a certificate.
The 1st prize winners were:

Grade 3a: Sebastian Schulz
Mathematics Olympiad
In the past year the learners from the English branch took part in
the annual Mathematics Olympiad. Of the 82 learners (Grade 6 to
12) that took part, 15 made it to Round 2. Congratulations to these

Learners were also encouraged to take part in the UP Mathematics
competition. This is an annual Mathematics Competition that has
been running for the past 25 years.
The competition consists of three sections, namely primary
school (Grade 6 to 7), then a section for Grade 8 to 9 and lastly a
different section for Grades 10 to 11. Thousands of learners from
all over the country take
part, some even from
Namibia.

first prize in the 2016 UP Mathematics
Competition for Grade Eleven.
Emma Smythe is one of the Top Five
Achievers in the 2016 UP Mathematics
Competition for Grade Six.
Information Technology Olympiad Results
Computer Talent Search
From 7-11 March the Information Technology students wrote the
online Computer Talent Search. Well done to Thomas Hettasch,
Jessica Irons and Thomas Kabutz, who achieved 100%, placing them
among the top 1.2% of the participants countrywide!

Programming Olympiad Round 1
The 1st round of the Programming Olympiad was written by students
around South Africa on 1-4 August 2016. Congratulations go
