Deutsche Internationale Schule Pretoria Abitur and
National Senior Certificate results
This has been a very successful academic year at the Deutsche Internationale
Schule Pretoria. For the third year in a row our students achieved a 100% pass
rate. Out of a total of 37 students, 34 qualify to study for a Bachelor’s degree
at a Higher Educational Institution. The remaining students qualify for Diploma
studies at a Higher Edu ca tional Institution. It is incredibly satisfying to note that
the whole Class of 2016 qualify for further studies.
Paola Schildhauer is the top student of 2016 with 9 distinctions. She is in the
top 1% of all IEB candidates in Arts Appreciation.
Nikolai Kirchner achieved 7 distinctions. Nikolai is in the top 1% of all IEB
candidates in Afrikaans First Additional Language. Tobias Damaske and Rudolf
Slabber achieved 5 distinctions. Ingo Güther, Oarabile Moima, Kabelo Mokoka
and Nele Schäfer achieved 4 distinctions each. The following learners are in the
top 1% of IEB candidates: Ingo Güther in German HL, Nele Schäfer in German SAL
and Rudolf Slabber in Arts Appreciation.
Boyang Yan achieved 3 distinctions. Two distinctions each were achieved by
Norbert Graefe, Sibongile Masemolamokiti, Alainah Parker and Chesley Patrick.
Chrislin Barry, Malebo Lekgoathi, Bon gani Mahlangu, Izana Maila and Lisa Wenk
each achieved one dis tinction.
In total, the students attained 56 A, 60 B and 86 C symbols. The number of
distinctions achieved in the following subjects are: Afri kaans FAL, 12 and
German Sal, 7. Subjects with five distinctions each are Abitur History and English
HL. Mathematical Literacy achieved four
distinctions. Mathematics, Abitur Mathematics
and Arts Appreciation achieved
three distinctions each. Abitur Bio logy,
Abitur German HL, Accounting, Information
Technology and Life Sciences
achieved two distinctions each. One
distinction each was achieved by the
following subjects: German HL, Abitur
French FAL, Life Orientation and Music
Appreciation.
A heartfelt thanks to all the teachers,
parents and the wider DSP community
that contributed to the success achieved
by the Class of 2016.

reflection of the hard work and dedication
they showed to their
