VCO: SMV1365C-LF
features Low Phase
Noise
Z-Communications, Inc.
announces a new RoHS compliant
VCO model SMV1365C-
LF in L-band. The SMV1365C-
LF operates at 1265-1465 MHz
with a tuning voltage range of
0.5-4.5 Vdc. This VCO features
a typical phase noise of -98 dBc/
Hz @ 10 kHz offset and a typical
tuning sensitivity of 113 MHz/V.
The SMV1365C-LF is designed
to deliver a typical output power
of 8 dBm at 5 Vdc supply while
drawing 21 mA (typical) over the
temperature range of -40 to 85
ºC. This VCO features typical
second harmonic suppression of
-15 dBc and comes in Z-Comm‘s
standard SUB-L package measuring
0.3 in. x 0.3 in. x 0.08 in.
It is available in tape and reel
packaging for production requirements.
The SMV1365C-LF is
also ideal for automated surface
mount assembly and reflow.
RFVC182X Low Noise MMIC VCO Family
with Buffer Amplifiers
RFMD‘s RFVC182X family
of narrowband MMIC voltage
controlled oscillators
with integrated RF output
buffer amplifiers have excellent
temperature, shock, and
vibration performance. These
VCOs are suitable for applications
in the 4.45 to 8.7 GHz
frequency range. All products
in this family of VCOs provide
POUT >8 dBm from a +3 V
single supply and deliver low
phase noise performance with
minimum power consumption.
Each VCO comes in a
compact, RoHS compliant
4.0 x 4.0mm QFN package.
Features
• -108 to -101 dBc/Hz phase
noise at 100 kHz offset
• +8.0 to +9.12 dBm POUT
• No external resonator or
elements needed
• Low cost, 4.0 x 4.0 mm
leadless QFN package
Applications
• Military and aerospace
• Satellite communications
• Test instrumentation
• Point-to-point radio
width of 5.2 to 11 GHz over -20
to +85 °C. With insertion loss
less than 0.95 dB over the entire
band, the circulator is robust to
handle 20 Watts of incident RF
power. Return loss and isolation
of 13 dB ensures better match to
the RF circuitry where it‘s being
placed. It is housed in a 0.75“
square stainless steel housing for
temperature stable performance.
High Power Single
and Dual Directional
Couplers
RLC Electronics’ high power
directional couplers offer accurate
coupling, low insertion loss
and high directivity in a compact
package. The standard units are
optimized for 2 octave bandwidths
and are available with a
choice of coupling values. These
units are ideal for sampling forward
and reflected power with
a negligible effect on the transmission
line and very low intermodulation
products.
SMV1430-040LF:
Surface Mount, 0402
Silicon Abrupt Tuning
Varactor Diode
The SMV1430-040LF silicon
abrupt junction varactor diode
is designed for use in Voltage
Controlled Oscillators or voltage
controlled phase shifters requiring
tight capacitance tolerances.
The low resistance of this varactor
also makes it appropriate for
high-Q resonators in wireless
systems at frequencies up to and
above 10 GHz.
Applications
• High-Q resonators in wireless
system VCOs
• Tuned phase shifters and filters
Features
• Low series resistance
• High capacitance ratio at low
reverse voltage
• Industry-standard 0402 footprint
• Packages rated MSL1, 260 °C
per JEDEC J-STD-020
