The Ambassador of Belgium to Austria,
H.E. Ghislain D’hoop and his spouse,
together with the Permanent Representative
to the International Organizations
in Vienna, H.E. Paul Huynen and Mrs.
Huynen invited to a reception on the
occasion of the King’s Day, also called
King‘s Feast, which is being celebrated
annually on November 15th since 1866.
The guests enjoyed Belgian specialities
in a great atmosphere at the residence
of the Ambassador.
On the occasion of the 49th Anniversary
of the National Day of the Sultanate of
Oman, the Ambassador and Permanent
Representative to the International
Organizations in Vienna, H.E. Yousuf Ahmed
Al Jabri invited to a reception at the
Grand Hotel. The holiday marks Oman’s
independence from the Kingdom of Portugal
and includes parades, fireworks,
camel races and a National Day military
parade. It is the oldest independent
state of the Arab world.
The Ambassador of Romania, H.E. Bogdan
Mazuru with Mrs. Emilia Mazuru and
the Permanent Representative of Romania
to the OSCE and the United Nations,
H.E. Cristian Istrate with Gabriela
Carmen Istrate invited to a reception to
celebrate the Romanian National Day
– also called Great Union or Unification
Day of Romania – at the Wiener Börsensäle.
Since 1918, the holiday is celebrated
as a reminder of the unification of
Transylvania and Romania.
