On the occasion of the Anniversary of
His Majesty the King’s Accession to the
Throne and the Kingdom of Bahrain’s
National Day, Ambassador and Permanent
Representative to the International
Organizations, H.E. Dr. Yusuf Abdulkarim
Bucheeri and his spouse invited to
a reception at the Quadrille Room of
Grand Hotel Wien. After a short welcome
speech by the Ambassador, a rich buffet
with numerous delicacies was served to
the international guests.
To celebrate Saint Lucy’s Day, H.E.
Mikaela Kumlin Granit, Ambassador
of Sweden to Austria and Permanent
Representative to the International
Organizations, invited to a beautiful
ceremony, followed by reception at the
premises of the Schwedenhaus in Vienna’s
ninth district. Typical chants by the
Swedish girls choir of Vienna, traditional
dishes, hot glögg and a short welcome
speech by the Ambassador perfected
this special event.
The Austrian-Chinese Association/Austrian
Association for research on China
invited to the annual Chinese Ball at
the Wiener Hofburg. The numerous
international guests, among them H.E.
Li Xiaosi, Ambassador of the People’s
Republic of China and former president
of Austria, Heinz Fischer, accompanied
by his wife Margit, enjoyed a glittering
and festive ball night with impressive
performances by Chinese and other
international artists.
