► On the server machine:<br />

Ensure that the DEFAULT_BROWSER variable is set to the command for<br />

starting your Web browser.<br />

Use the command echo $DEFAULT_BROWSER to find out the command used in<br />

starting the browser. Test whether that command can bring up the browser by<br />

manually entering it on the command line.<br />

1. Ensure that the DOCUMENT_SERVER_MACHINE_NAME variable is set to<br />

the local host name.<br />

2. Ensure that the DOCUMENT_SERVER_PORT variable is set to the port<br />

address used by the local Web server.<br />

3. Ensure that the CGI_DIRECTORY variable is set to the correct cgi-bin<br />

directory used by the local Web server.<br />

4. Ensure that the DOCUMENT_DIRECTORY is set to the directory where the<br />

symbolic links doc_link and ds_images reside.<br />

5. If you are not using the default directory, ensure that you have defined the<br />

necessary directory mapping in your Web server configuration file so that the<br />

directory can be resolved.<br />
