The order of boot phase 3 is as follows:<br />

1. Phase 3 is started in /etc/inittab.<br />

2. The /tmp file system is mounted.<br />

3. The rootvg is synchronized. This can take some time. This is why the syncvg<br />

rootvg command is executed as a background process. At this stage, the<br />

LED code 553 is shown.<br />

4. At this stage, the cfgmgr -p2 process for normal boot and the cfgmgr -p3<br />

process for service mode are also run. cfgmgr reads the Config_rules file from<br />

ODM and checks for devices with phase=2 or phase=3.<br />

5. Next, the console will be configured. LED codes shown when configuring the<br />

console are shown on the following page. After the configuration of the<br />

console, boot messages are sent to the console if no STDOUT redirection is<br />

made. Many of these boot messages scroll past at a fast pace, so there is not<br />
