If the system does not have a key switch to set the always allow dump value<br />

back to false, use the sysdumpdev command as follows:<br />

# sysdumpdev -k<br />

Ensure that the always allow dump option has been set back to FALSE by using<br />

the sysdumpdev command, as follows:<br />

# sysdumpdev<br />

primary /dev/hd6<br />

secondary /dev/sysdumpnull<br />

copy directory /var/adm/ras<br />

forced copy flag TRUE<br />

always allow dump FALSE<br />

dump compression OFF<br />

The TTY remote reboot<br />

<strong>AIX</strong> Version 4.3.2 has added the ability to do a remote reboot of a system across<br />

native serial ports by using a user-defined string. This feature is configured by<br />

setting up two ODM attributes that have been added to the native serial ports.<br />

Figure 5-2 shows the options as they are set up in the SMIT screen.<br />
