If the system does not have a key switch to set the always allow dump value
back to false, use the sysdumpdev command as follows:
# sysdumpdev -k
Ensure that the always allow dump option has been set back to FALSE by using
the sysdumpdev command, as follows:
# sysdumpdev
primary /dev/hd6
secondary /dev/sysdumpnull
copy directory /var/adm/ras
forced copy flag TRUE
always allow dump FALSE
dump compression OFF
The TTY remote reboot
AIX Version 4.3.2 has added the ability to do a remote reboot of a system across
native serial ports by using a user-defined string. This feature is configured by
setting up two ODM attributes that have been added to the native serial ports.
Figure 5-2 shows the options as they are set up in the SMIT screen.
