Inspectors' Report.<br />
August, 1893.<br />
During this month, our inspectors made 6,641 inspection trips, visited 15,311 boilers,<br />
inspected 5,293 both internally and externally, and subjected 577 to hydrostatic press-<br />
ure. <strong>The</strong> whole number of defects reported reached 9,449, of which 884 were considered<br />
dangerous; 54 boilers were regarded unsafe for further use. Our usual summary<br />
