During this month our inspectors made 6,853 inspection trips, visited 14,226 boilers,<br />
inspected 4,702 both inti^rnally and exteruall}^, and subjected 508 to hydrostatic press-<br />
ure. <strong>The</strong> whole number of defects reported reached 10,322, of which 1,040 were considered<br />
dangerous; 71 boilers were regarded unsafe for further use. Our usual summary<br />
