Disassembly<br />

8599 N/B Maintenance<br />

1. Remove the battery, keyboard, CPU, hard disk drive, CD/DVD-ROM drive, DIMM module, modem card and<br />

LCD assembly. (Refer to sections 2.2.1, 2.2.2, 2.2.3, 2.2.4, 2.2.5, 2.2.6, 2.2.7 and 2.2.8 Disassembly)<br />

2. Disconnect the heatsink’s cable from the system board and remove two screws fastening the heatsink.<br />

(Figure 2-26)<br />

3. Disconnect the speaker’s cable and the touch pad’s cable from the system board.To free the system board, please<br />

remove one screw and four hex nuts that fastening the system board. (Figure 2-27)<br />
