A MEU (SOC) CE contains the following sections:
• Command section.
• Chaplain section.
• S-1 section.
• S-2 section.
• S-3 section.
• S-4 section.
• S-6 section.
• Headquarters commandant.
• Public affairs section.
Concept of Employment
The MEU(SOC) CE is employed as the organic command and control
element of the MEU(SOC), capable of single site or split-based
operations. Additionally, the MEU(SOC) CE may be employed for a
limited period as the forward/tactical C2 echelon of a joint task force
headquarters or a larger MAGTF command element.
