a Bill be brought in to impower M' Joseph Ennalls, M' Henry<br />

Ennalls, M'^ James Anderson, M'^ Charles Rye, and M' John<br />

Hudson or any three of them to value the Land. Henry<br />

Roberts Petition read and rejected.<br />

Samuel Lyles Petition read and referred.<br />

The Address of Saint Mary's County relating to the Removal<br />

of their Court House Read and referred for Consideration<br />

till some Members for that County come to the House<br />

The Matter relating to fforeign Coins Debated and Resolved<br />

That a Bill be brought in to make Foreign Coins Current according<br />

to her Majesty's Proclamation and the Act of Parliament<br />

and that the Committee of Laws prepare a Bill accord-<br />

ingly.<br />

Resolved That Col° Greenberry, M^ Bradley, M"- Salter, M'<br />

West and M' Vanderheyden be a Committee to inspect the<br />

Land Records &" and to treat v^rith M' Secretary Lloyd or any<br />

other Person to amend the Records and what Charge it will<br />

be and make Report thereof to the House.<br />

The Matter relating to Ordinary Licenses debated and referred<br />

for further Consideration<br />

The House met according to Adjournment<br />

Ordered That all Committees withdraw upon their Business<br />

Ordered That the Sheriff of Ann Arundel County send<br />

away the Writ of Election to Saint Mary's County which was<br />

delivered him in the House.<br />

Benjamin Dufours Petition praying to be naturalized granted<br />

upon his taking the Oaths which was done before M' John<br />

Baldwin a Justice of the Peace for Ann Arundel County Major<br />

General Lloyd and Col° William Holland from his Excellency<br />

and Council enter the House and inform M' Speaker that his<br />

Excellency in her Majesty's Name required the House to<br />

attend him immediately at the Council Chamber; Whereupon<br />

the House adjourned to the Council Chamber accordingly and<br />

his Excellency was pleased to acquaint M' Speaker and the<br />

House that he was informed this House had taken upon them<br />

an extrajudicial way of construing her sacred Majesty's Commission<br />

to him which he took to be an Infringmen' upon her<br />

Majesty's Royal Prerogative, and had turned out those Members<br />

that were sent to sit among them for the City of Annapolis,<br />

by the same Commission proceeding from the same<br />

ffouiitain of Clemency as the House now sits, and wished them<br />
