We think the Words receive, take may be well omitted in<br />

the Bill for that we never heard any Persons practising the<br />

Law or any other Persons were ever prohibitted from receiving<br />

any free Gratuity or reward from their Employers who<br />

judged them worthy thereof<br />

Further we recommend that it be inserted in the last Clause<br />

of the Bill that all Persons whatsoever practising the Law<br />

shall be first Licenced by his Excell the Governour & Council<br />

for the Time being &c before admitted by the Several Courts<br />

who shall notwithstanding have the power of such admission<br />

by Swearing and likewise to suspend on just Grounds<br />
