enter the House and deliver M' Speaker Petition of the Inhabitants<br />

of Somerset County relating to Towns. Referred<br />

till to Morrow Morning for Consideration<br />

His Excellency's Speech being again read and debated its<br />

ordered the third Paragraph relating to Sir Thomas Lawrence<br />

be answered by Message. Col° Jenkins and M' James Saunders<br />

from the Council enter the House and deliver M' Speaker Peti-<br />

tion of the Inhabitants of Calvert County for removing their<br />

Court House. And Petition of the Inhabitants of Piscattaway<br />

Hundred in Prince George's County for a Town and the Petition<br />

of the Inhabitants of Calvert County all ordered to be<br />

considered of to Morrow Morning.<br />

The Petition of Thomas Howell of Ceoill County being p- 102<br />

read and debated its ordered a Bill be brought in for Relief<br />

according to the Prayer of the Petitioner<br />

The House adjourns till to Morrow Morning seven o'clock.<br />

The House met again according to Adjournment being called<br />

over were all present as yesterday.<br />

Petition of the Inhabitants of Ann Arundel County praying<br />

a Town at a Place called Pig Point. Read and the Petition<br />

granted.<br />

Ordered a Bill be brought in. Another Petition of some<br />

Inhabitants of said County praying a Town to be erected on<br />

Patuxent River opposite to Queen Ann's Town Read and<br />

granted.<br />

Ordered a Bill be brought in.<br />

The Petition of some Inhabitants of Calvert County for<br />

removing their Court House to Hunting Town in Hunting<br />

Creek being read and debated. And the Petition of some<br />

other the Inhabitants of the said County for erecting a Town<br />

at Battle Creek and to continue the Court House being likewise<br />

read and debated. And Resolved the Court and Court<br />

House remain where it now is.<br />

The Petition of George Harris read praying three Acres of<br />

Land whereon he has made several Improvements may be<br />

taken within the Bounds and Limits of the Town called Nottingham<br />

Which being debated is granted<br />

The Petition of the Inhabitants on the South Side of Wiccocomoco<br />

in Somerset County for removing the Port and Town<br />

from Green Hill being here read Col° Jenkins, M' Levin Denwood,<br />

Captain Gale and M' VVorthington are admitted into
