It's resolved That Thomas Lone was not such an Inhabitant<br />

as would excuse the Payment of the Duty but that he ought to<br />

pay the same. Signed p Order Rich'* Dallam CI. Ho. Del.<br />

M"" Thomas Frisby and M' Matthias Vanderheyden Members<br />

for Cecil County enter the House and took their Places.<br />

M'' Tyler enters the House<br />

Moved That a Bill be brought in to settle Baltimore County<br />

Court House at the Town of Joppa<br />

Put to the Question whether it shall be decided by the Freeholders<br />

or not? Carried in the Affirmative, And Resolved<br />

That the Justices of Baltimore County Court at their next<br />

Court give Notice that the Freeholders meet at their old Court<br />

House next March Court and that M' Richard Colegate take<br />

the Votes of all the Freehold that are for removing the Court<br />

House from Joppa ; and M' Aquila Paca take the Votes of all<br />

that are for continuing the Court House there. And the p. 27=<br />

Sheriff attend them if need require and either of those Gentlemen<br />

to administer Oaths if Occasion require and make Report<br />

of their Proceedings to this House the next Session of Assembly<br />

M' Richard Bennett's Petition referred to this Session was<br />

read and further referred to next Session &"<br />

M' Joseph Hill's Petition praying an Allowance of a Debt<br />

of fifty two Pounds one Shilling in Money due to his Father<br />

from the Country and assigned him by one Vangezell Attorney<br />

of M" Herman being the Balance due for finishing the Stadt<br />

House Read and considered.<br />

It's Resolved the said Jos. Hill be allowed the same in Current<br />

Money and recommended to the Committee of Accounts<br />

for that Purpose.<br />

Nicholas Cloud's Petition being read the Consideration<br />

thereof is further referred till next Session of Assembly<br />

An Aggrievance relating to the Office of Secretary was read<br />

and the Consideration thereof is further referred till next Session<br />

of Assembly.<br />

Upon the Motion made relating to the Gate House &'^<br />

Resolved That Col° Smith M^ Tyler M' Hunt and RP Bordley<br />

be a Committee to enquire into a Way or Method to preserve<br />

the Gate-House and Town Pasture and report it to the House.<br />

Order relating to M' Rousby and M' Plater's publick Accounts<br />

being read : It's further referred to Consideration of<br />

next Session of Assembly.<br />

And Ordered That M' Rousby have Notice given him to<br />

appear here and bring with him his and M"' Plater's publick<br />

Books and Accounts of the three Pence -p Hogshead for Arms<br />

for the House's Inspection
