The Petition of the Vestry's of Port Tobacco & Durham<br />

Parishes in Charles County read praying that the reverend<br />

M' Butler a Clergyman of great Piety & Learning might be<br />

inducted into both the said Parishes and this Board being well<br />

Satisfyed that M' Edw"^ Butler is qualifyed Licenced & recommended<br />

by my Lord Bishop of London Diocesan of this<br />

Province The Board advise the honble President to appoint<br />

the s*^ M' Buder to these Parishes<br />

M' Mariartee & M' Hemsly bring up the reasons for repealing<br />

the Law for relief of poor Debtors & Prisoners with the<br />

Houses thanks to this Board for communicating the same to<br />

them<br />
