L- H.J. By the House of Delegates a""* December 1708<br />

The above Report being read the House concurs therewith<br />

and are willing the Petitioners for the Charter bring in a Bill<br />

according to the Report to which this House desire the Concurrence<br />

of his Excellency and her Majesty's Honble Council.<br />

Sent to his Excellency and Council by the Gentlemen that<br />

were on the Conferrence. They return and say they delivered<br />

the same.<br />

Major General Lloyd, Col° William Holland, Col° William<br />

Coursey, Tho' Greenfield, Samuel Young and Philip Lynes Esq'<br />

Members of her Majesty's Honble Council enter the House<br />

and deliver M" Speaker the following Paper from his Excellency<br />

the Governor.<br />

Gentlemen,<br />

December a""* 1708<br />

I have with very great Satisfaction received your Answer<br />

by Col° Smith and the other Members to what I offered you<br />

at your first Meeting and assure you I shall always be glad to<br />

serve the Province in General and every worthy Member in<br />

particular John Seymour.<br />

The Honble Major General Lloyd, Col° William Holland,<br />

Col° W" Coursey and Philip Lynes Esq' enter the House and<br />

deliver M' Speaker the Report of the Conferrees indorsed as<br />

follows<br />

By his Excellency the Governor & Council in Assembly<br />

December 2'"'^ 1708<br />

This Board on Consideration of the above Report made by<br />

the Conferrees do assent thereto, and are willing a Bill be<br />

brought in as proposed wherein may be a Clause inserted (if<br />

the House think fit) to qualify the Recorder he being a Person<br />

very fit for that Station.<br />
