Type Name and Description<br />

Standard<br />

A document or other resource that is intended to be<br />

authoritative. This includes specifications of <strong>SNOMED</strong> CT<br />

content and release files. Normative requirements for<br />

particular functions are also standards.<br />

Guidance<br />

A document or other resource that is intended to provide<br />

advice or suggest possible approaches to particular<br />

requirement or subject area.<br />

Indicates that the document or resource is considered to be up-to-date<br />

and complete for the current release of <strong>SNOMED</strong> CT (indicated by<br />

an explicitly stated version date or by the publication date).<br />

Review<br />

Indicates that the document or resource has been released for review<br />

and comments from <strong>SNOMED</strong> CT users and other stakeholders. It<br />

is intended to be complete but has not been formally approved as a<br />

final version.<br />

Draft<br />

Indicates that the document or resource is a draft version. It may be<br />

incomplete and has not been approved in a final version.<br />

This edition of the document is configured to use US English .<br />

The PDF version of this draft is formatted to be printed on US Letter paper.<br />
