subterminal, st ar- shaped appendages (F ig. 3m).
On wood at base of dunes and on wood from wat er' s edge after
storage in humid chamber. The type material was collect ed at t he
Grønhøj locality 1966 by the present author.

Perithecia up to 0.5 mm in diameter, with short papillae , dark,
immersed to protruding. Asci 8-spored, clavate, unit unicat e, 108-144
X 26-32 u , Ascospores normally 4-celled, hyaline, 25-50 X 9-13 (16) u ,
with terminal appendages (Fig.9a).
Not infrequent in driftwood of recent origin.
